Happy Birthday to me!

So today was my birthday. I’m now 40 years old. It’s a big one though doesn’t feel like it. Just another number I guess.

I took off from work for today. Picked up my cake from Wegmans, and just did some laundry and read mostly. Poked about online and watched some TV as well.

Had beef stew for dinner as I usually do which my mom makes. Was awesome as usual. Obviously for desert the cake.

Had gifts as well. My mom gave me a card and some stuff from her and my dad: a body pillow for my bed, some American Girl doll clothes for my Kirsten doll, a plush version doll of Kirsten, and a plush of a ferret as a hot dog. My sister got me a card as well as a bell for sisters, a brooch with a rose on it, and a fairy Precious Moments figurine. Also got a card from a manager from work who retired like a year ago. Surprised she remembered. Will probably call or write her tomorrow.

One thing to add. This happened yesterday when I was leaving work. After exiting the lobby at McDonalds there’s an entryway you go through. In the one I usually go out to leave was a white feather. Now, I’m sure most people would think it’s nothing. But I like to think it was maybe an Angel feather, possibly from my brother (he died like four or five years ago). He usually seems to come around around my birthday. My mom is good at sensing that stuff. She usually can smell him. I did smell him one of the nights last week, though I had thought it was just a smell, but my mom said it was him. Wouldn’t surprise me. My mom always claimed I was his favorite. Regardless, it was nice if it was him.

Surgery and other updates

Okay, been a bit but at least not as long as last time! 😂

Not gonna go into a lot of details. Just a few things.

I did get the Botox done again. While the surgery itself went fine, were some complications after. I was peeing more then ever, though I didn’t think much of it at the time. Then a couple days later was peeing blood. Called the doctor, they said it was probably an infection so gave me antibiotics. It did clear it up and now its working as it should.

Though the kidney doctor wasn’t too fond of some of the numbers from blood tests and stuff. He had me stay extra hydrated to see if it helped which it did, so gotta keep up with that. And next month getting some more iron infusions. Probably was about due anyway.

Mostly been fine, just tired and stuff. Been mostly just working, sleeping, and reading. Did have a couple vacations from work. Went to Lily Dale twice and did some stuff in the area.

Right now looking for a dog. I was going to go for a Yorkie, but am not looking at Pomeranians. I did find one I liked but the place its from didn’t have great reviews so will keep looking.

Guess that’s about it for now.

Uh…

Uh….yeah I meant to post waaaay before now, but kept like putting it off. 😅 In fact I started this post ages ago but never finished it till now.

Not even gonna attempt to go over all the stuff that’s gone on. Which honestly for the most part isn’t much.

Well, except, in November we put my dog down.

She had gotten very ill. Her back legs had stopped working. We had them come to our house to do it, which was better for everyone including my sister’s dog. Poor thing was fighting it, but only let go when my sister held her.

I miss her a lot.

While I do miss her I do plan on getting another dog eventually. A Yorkie probably.

Health stuff now I guess. I’m doing alright. Kidneys are stable thus far. *knocks on wood* The Botox I had done on the bladder did wear off (lasted about a year) so going to be getting that done again in August. Like last time in the hospital so I can get knocked out.

Right now on vacation from work. Haven’t done much. Mostly lazing about.
