Random post

Felt the urge to post here. I kinda wanna try writing more here and maybe in general. I blame some of it on the Chicken Soup for the Soul book kick I’ve been on. Though they do sometimes get boring but I still enjoy them.

Actually been reading a lot more lately. I do my daily readings in “The One Year Bible for Women.” Rather behind in there. For a while I wouldn’t read anything else till I was caught up. But there was little chance of that happening. And after asking my mom about it she said it was fine to read other stuff still and still try to read it (I know sounds weird, but it was something I worried about). But since ignoring that been reading a lot which I’ve missed. Right now also working on “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Inspiration for Writers” by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Amy Newmark, and Susan M Heim. I have a couple others from the series I want to read after, as well as other books I should get to. But, its been nice reading again.

Also lately been trying to be more active online. Sometimes I don’t feel like it, but it also feels kinda nice to at least make some effort. I’d like to work more on my sites again.

Today I mostly just chilled. I did some small chores (did the major ones yesterday for once in my life). Still gotta finish a couple things but still mostly just been relaxing and doing whatever.

Maybe I’ll actually get to bed on time for once. I have a bad habit on work nights of staying up later than I should. And Sunday nights tend to be not great anyway. Usually can’t sleep well those nights. I’ll try my best though.

Happy Birthday to me!

So today was my birthday. I’m now 40 years old. It’s a big one though doesn’t feel like it. Just another number I guess.

I took off from work for today. Picked up my cake from Wegmans, and just did some laundry and read mostly. Poked about online and watched some TV as well.

Had beef stew for dinner as I usually do which my mom makes. Was awesome as usual. Obviously for desert the cake.

Had gifts as well. My mom gave me a card and some stuff from her and my dad: a body pillow for my bed, some American Girl doll clothes for my Kirsten doll, a plush version doll of Kirsten, and a plush of a ferret as a hot dog. My sister got me a card as well as a bell for sisters, a brooch with a rose on it, and a fairy Precious Moments figurine. Also got a card from a manager from work who retired like a year ago. Surprised she remembered. Will probably call or write her tomorrow.

One thing to add. This happened yesterday when I was leaving work. After exiting the lobby at McDonalds there’s an entryway you go through. In the one I usually go out to leave was a white feather. Now, I’m sure most people would think it’s nothing. But I like to think it was maybe an Angel feather, possibly from my brother (he died like four or five years ago). He usually seems to come around around my birthday. My mom is good at sensing that stuff. She usually can smell him. I did smell him one of the nights last week, though I had thought it was just a smell, but my mom said it was him. Wouldn’t surprise me. My mom always claimed I was his favorite. Regardless, it was nice if it was him.

Vacation plans and life

I decided I should actually post. Though at least it hasn’t been that long since my last post. 🤣

I’m doing okay. I mean work is pretty much the same. I have good days, and then days when I want to punch people. Mostly the last one. 😂

On the plus next week I’m on vacation. Looking forward to just having time off work. Not doing anything just gonna chill at home.

My sister thought of going to Lily Dale (which is basically a small town with mediums/psychics). We usually go every summer. Last year we didn’t go cause she had surgery on her hand. And this year there’s that whole Covid-19 mess. I don’t think she is. I wasn’t going to myself. I don’t think its smart to go somewhere where people travel to go. Not with this going on. However, you can get readings on the phone or on the computer. I’m thinking about getting one. Mostly curious if my brother would show up. I’ve had some good readings where interesting stuff pops up. Like how I have an Angel named Beth who watches over me. 😊 Its not for everyone. I used to be way more into this stuff but some of it makes me nervous, but I do still like some of it.

Did I ever mention the squirrel sized picnic table I got? I don’t think so. Anyway, I bought one off Amazon and some nuts for them. I’ve been feeding them and they’ve been coming. One time I didn’t put any out and one sat on it staring down the house. 🤣 And once when my sister was outside one yelled at her for getting too close to the nuts. 😆 Its really cool actually. 😀 To me their the ferrets of the trees. 😂

Well, I guess I gotta actually try to be somewhat productive. Later!
